What was being hyped as yet another cruel ICE action against innocent working family men looking for a better life actually turned out to be a mass arrest of career criminals and underage workers. And the person howling the loudest had the dirtiest hands.

There’s max headroom and then there’s ’min headroom’
Bill, I think the adjective you were searching for to describe Gabbin’ Newscum is …
Adjective: oleaginous
1. Unpleasantly and excessively suave or ingratiating in manner or speech
2. Containing an unusual amount of grease or oil
Both those definitions fit. Maybe for our friends who aren’t vocabulary freaks just “slimey” would have worked OK too.
Well, if that isn’t a great freaking word to describe him.
Searched and this is one of the first images that came up.
LOL, I know, hey? Thanks, great graphic … I’m a vocabulary freak and sometimes catch grief over that. I don’t care because I’m trying to say exactly what I mean and I mean exactly what I say. “Oleaginous” exactly describes Gabbin’ Newscum in the case of being limited to a single word. If a phrase can be applied then the meaning can be amplified to be more accurately descriptive. For example — “Oleaginous fecal mound”. Or for our non-vocabulary freaks “Slimey pile of shit” works equally well. It just doesn’t sound as well suited to polite company but the essence… Read more »
Adipose is a great word, too.
Growing up my aunt passed on her love of crosswords and Scrabble. She didn’t take it easy on me either.
Turns out that in jr and sr HS back in the day, she took to reading the dictionary.
She got into a little trouble with the nuns because they thought she was copying work from older kids.
Had to convince them that she really knew words that others didn’t.
Yea, finding a “nice” way to take someone down a peg is an excellent skill that you have developed.
Your aunt and I would have gotten on well. In the days before smart phones if I had to go someplace where I knew I’d have to wait, like a doctor’s office and that sort of thing, there was always a crossword puzzle book in my back pocket. I always had one in my briefcase and in my vehicle. I would hog the crossword puzzle page from any newspaper I came across no matter where it was. (As long as actual theft wasn’t involved of course.) I haven’t used a pencil on crossword puzzles since I was in junior high.… Read more »
“nice” in this context means stating what you want to say with sufficient vocabulary that it takes the person being insulted several beats to figure out just how they have been insulted. Extra bonus points if they never figure it out.
I would characterize this as a high level form of Smartassery.
Or perhaps in your terms: astute gluteus maximus oratory.
Perhaps profundity is a better word, astute might give the insultee some clue he is being insulted.
I also do crossword puzzles in ink every so often. Used to do it a lot, but most I try are too easy. My wife gave me a crossword puzzle book about 3 years ago. I finished it in about 3 days. And back in high school in study hall (free time) I went to the school library and read both the Colliers encyclopedia and Encyclopedia Britannica cover to cover. That only partially explains my reputation wherever I worked, if I interacted a lot, of being a “source of totally useless information.” i tend to do quite well on game… Read more »
Newsome must have changed the names from Pot Plantations to Pot Farms for better optics.
Bill, you mentioned the Pacific Palisades fire and the fact that the regulatory burden on property owners is so bad that the only way around their situation is to build Section 8 housing. I was in the St Alphonsus Hospital in Nampa, Idaho today and had time to read their display of the history of that hospital. Just a short snippet: It was originally founded by the Sisters of Mercy as Mercy Hospital in 1910. In 1918, the sisters decided they needed to build a larger hospital, similar to their hospital in Pocatello. So they started a fund-raising campaign which… Read more »
I am guessing that this is the Babylon Bee headline to which Bill referred.

I looked and guessed that might be the one. I was expecting something more similar to the topic (less tangential).
The funniest BEE recently was Jabba the Hutt denying, at 150 pounds, using Ozempic.
Thx
>”Who runs interference for a gang of criminals like this?”
How about “The capo di tutti capi!”
Apollo is to the god poetry & music, as Spewsome is to a god’s silly court jester … think of an idiot like Woody Allen w/jazz hands and a 50’s “Grease” hair slick no less. Palisades is a LAND GRAB – period. Crush the hopes of good people who’ve worked hard to live in a nice place, while rewarding homeless/druggies/parasites that should be “housed’ at Alcatraz Alley, or in a converted ship/barge w/pods, or a dedicated island supported only by air-drops (think “Lord of the Fly’s” in terms of island justice). Perhaps it’s the same formula that was used in… Read more »
Minor gripe, guys, You did NOT put the Babylon Bee headline on the screen to share with the audience. ‘Other than that, how was the play, Mrs. Lincoln?’ This episode had nothing new or shocking for me. Then again, I lived in CA for 25 years, and witnessed the Newscum decay first-hand. Pot farms are corrupt. Illegals and children are being exploited by Leftists. Newscum is not only okay with it, but defends and encourages the practice. The state legislature passes laws that enrich themselves and make peasants of the general populace. Yup, pretty much same-old, same-old. When the CA… Read more »
Gavin Newsome: “Why suh, how do expect us to keep our pot supply plentiful and cheap without slave, err.. Illegal, err, immigrants seeking American opportunity and having their children along to tend the pot plants. Now see this child here. Look at his happy face! Now child, how do you like working with your parents?. Doesn’t that make you happy?” Child: “Senior, I have no idea where my parents are. I have not seen them for over a year.” Overseer: “Get back to work! Or only bread and water for you!” Newsome “Well, let’s speak to this other child. What… Read more »
