When Tucker Carlson had the sit-down with Putin in Moscow awhile back, Tucker asked Putin specifically why he went into Ukraine in the first place. Putin basically said that the Russian-culture people in the region were overrun by Liberal and neo-nazi (AZOV) factions and Zelensky wouldn’t clean that up. In the mean time, the Obiden administration was all too happy to allow those factions to continue their advancements across the region (as they have in America). Is this scenario just made up or is it being covered up by the media. If true, this could have ended long ago just… Read more »

Saw Billy Joel in mid 70’s live in Akron. I’d never heard of him but he was the opening act. He was so amazing I don’t remember who the headline band was.
Ukraine was NEVER russian. Ukrainians were FORCED to seek russian and if that was the parameter for what a country is then EVERY IN America is china
Ukrainians have gone by a designation as Russian since they were known as the Kievan Rus’ in the 9th century. “Rus'” is the linguistic root for “Russian”. There has been political relocation of the borders of Ukraine since well before that but that is the first historical instance where the Ukrainians thought of themselves as a “people” or nation. They themselves thought of and called themselves Russian at that time. That’s a long time ago, in case you’re not aware. Parts of Ukraine have been politically Russian since at least 1605 up until Ukrainian independence when the Soviet Union collapsed… Read more »

the “federal reserve “note” is a PROMISE to pay real money, nothing but gold or silver coin should be used in the payment of debt. the WORLD NEEDS to get back to the gold standards
“… the WORLD NEEDS to get back to the gold standards …” (sic) This is a common fallacy among the ignorant. The gold standard worked OK back when the world more-or-less ubiquitously accepted gold as a common medium of exchange. Remember that back then a Spanish gold doubloon or piece of eight had the same value and was interchangeable with nearly every other piece of minted gold coinage. The common medium represented by gold has been supplanted by the U.S. Dollar and is no longer in force. There is nothing intrinsically more valuable about gold alone than in anything else… Read more »
Per you with one word changed :”‘gold’ is only an exchange medium, a “currency” if everyone agrees it is. You can’t eat gold, you can’t use it to plant crops, you can’t drive it to work or heat your home with it and while it does have some industrial and electrical uses it’s not in itself valuable simply because it’s gold. It’s valuable because people agree it has value. “ I been saying that for decades. Gold is valuable only because people say it is. Can’t eat it, cant wear it (reasonably. Bit cold in the winter and hot in… Read more »
How prescient this conversation has become with “spear the queer” in light of what would happen the morning after this was recorded.
Mark Twain said that happiness in marriage depended less on finding the one person who would make your life great than steering away from the hundreds that would make your life miserable.
OK, pausing at 35:00 for a quick NYC lesson. NYC consists of 5 “boroughs: Bronx, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island. The total population of all of these is around 8.25 Million. Manhattan has a population of approx 1.6M while Brooklyn (2.6+) and Queens (2.3+) are larger. Manhattan swells to over 3 million during a work day. Manhattan is also less than 23 sq miles. Roughly a rectangle 2.3 miles wide and 13.4 miles long. (There is a narrowing at the norther end which is why that doesn’t come out in the math.) For comparison Washington DC is over 68… Read more »
