Species go extinct and it’s been happening for milleniums…ask Darwin. How about bringing back people like our founding fathers and real scientists. I think we need more real thinkers and fewer stinkers. Use the DNA wisely.

There are white wolves–check out the artic wolf. While it is a darker shade in the summer since there is little to no snow, they are white in the winter to blend in to the snow.

As Bill said, the dire wolf was probably white so it, too, could blend in to the snow.
