Giving the Mullahs Something to Think About

For FORTY SEVEN YEARS now Iran has been at war with the United States. Never has the Islamic regime been more at risk. The remarkably successful US military operations against Iran’s nuclear facilities and Venezuela’s communist dictator have show them that their enemy not only has the capability, but also the will, to use these astonishing assets, without falling into a fatal quagmire of ‘boots on the ground.’

They sound worried. They should be.

I want to see the Iranian regime fall because it’s evil and murderous all over the world. I don’t have much sympathy for nor care a lot about “the Iranian People”. It was the Iranian People who brought their current catastrophe down upon their own heads. It was the Iranian People who fomented the successful revolution that brought down Shah Reza Pahlavi and it was the Iranian People who called for Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini to be returned from political exile in France and installed as Head of State. The Iranian revolution was ostensibly fueled by the Tyranny of the Shah… Read more »

Keith, I kept thinking the same as I read ACTS’ comment. I feel badly for the longtime residents who got outmaneuvered by a bunch of well organized foreign invaders and useful idiots. That said, they better wake up and start fighting back now.
I don’t know what to do here in Virginia. I had hoped we’d at least make it into a few years of retirement down the line, but I see this place turning into NJ in five years and CA in ten. If not sooner.

Don’t despair overmuch for VA. It’s like Minnesota where I’m originally from in that there will always be enclaves of reasonable, sensible people. I live in one of those areas right now. I love it here, where you live is for all practical purposes a different state. Virginia has the same sort of political cancer as Minnesota and New York State. The majority of the state is deep Red ruled over by tiny areas of densely populated terminally toxic Blue. The trick here, I think, is to do the same as New York State and let the Blue rot choke… Read more »

There are obvious similarities and for my part I hope the people of New York City get what they begged for. Good and hard. Without any external efforts to mitigate the misery they are bringing on themselves. The only way a wound like that heals is to rip the bandage off and expose it to fresh air and sunlight. The more immediate, appropriate and severe the consequences the less net suffering will result. All the “good people” can do what I did and leave. It cost me nearly everything I owned and had saved to get out of the Soviet… Read more »

Any action in Iran will need years of planning by Republican non RINO’s analysts. I suspect that’s already happened. I suspect he has hundreds of agents in the country, all of Iranian birth and sending back intelligence. However, Trump is limited in what he can do by that intelligence on the ground. You don’t want to be tricked into bombing human shields. IRGC units and commanders trying to communicate and concentrate will be the main target and most of that will be out side the cities.  Putting fighters over the city will get people killed. Any fire directed at them will… Read more »
