For forty-seven years now, Iran’s knife to the throat of the West was to cut off Middle East oil by closing the Strait of Hormuz. NO ONE was ready for the response Iran got when that long-feared card was finally played.

While the media wont report it there are a lot of European NATO members in the Gulf. Everyone is talking about the Saudis and the UAE but the real action is the Musandam Peninsula in Oman. Musandam juts out into the Strait. It has an airbase, a naval base and several military bases. Oman is the oldest country in the region, the Roman historian Pliny and the scientist Ptolemy wrote about it using that name. Its monarchy is older than the USA, 282 years old. Their recent marital history is very telling. An out break of monogamy. You don’t have… Read more »

I have to agree with most of what I heard, other than the FACT our media IS OUR ENEMY, ALLIES ITSELF WITH OUR ENEMIES and will CELEBRATE ANY AND EVERY FAILURE our military has, as well as being the NUMBER ONE propaganda arm of Iran (and every other one of our enemies).

Best case scenario; Iran gives up nukes and changes leaders, the remainder of the Arab countries do a peace/trade alliance with Israel, and Cuba realizes times up and throws out the Castros.
Worst case scenario; China takes advantage of us looking elsewhere and invades Taiwan, the foreign disinformation campaign makes Trump acquiesce to incredibly weak Persians who know the US citizens are weak and would rather have temporary low gas prices than win, the drug cartels get more aggressive, and ICE gets another “suicide by cop” from a nose-ring-wearing, pink-haired, Trump derangement addled Gaya worshiper.
Prayin’ for the former.

In order for a “worst case scenario” to actually be a worst case scenario it has to be a thing that can realistically happen. “All of the atomic particles in the universe suddenly losing their cohesion down to the quark level” would be a “worst case scenario” if it were something that could actually happen. Doesn’t seem real likely though. While some of your other points might be possible, if marginal to extremely marginal, China invading Taiwan is not a legitimate concern at this time. China had very badly underestimated us and is now in the process of cleaning large… Read more »

Thx. After I posted, Hegseth, “god of war”, said this was 1/10th of the Navy in action in the Strait of Hormuz. Surprised me. I think almost everybody is “cleaning their pants” after the last several weeks. A far cry from fallen helicopters in the desert attempting to rescue hostages from students with handguns.
Any combatant in their right mind would have surrendered by now. The Iranians have a remarkable blind spot. Combine that with their talent for lying, …

… And yet the Iranian regime’s “talent for lying” is proving to be directly proportional to their talent for dying. I’m pretty sure they have noticed the correlation even if they won’t acknowledge it. One needs to be mindful of the difference between bullshit (propaganda), lying and outright ignorance of the facts stated in utter confidence. There’s a lot of all of that going on lately. I’m fortunate, or blessed if you prefer, to have good friends that are particularly and professionally adept at sorting signal from noise. Which also forces me to lift my game if I want to… Read more »

Brilliant analysis gentlemen! It needs few if any words as it is there for all to see if they are not pre-disposed to be totally blinded by their TDS!!!

Good commentary with the major caveats being that a number of countries, even in the Western Hemisphere, are on a very different path, Canada in particular, and ongoing opposition to Trump himself, at home and abroad, even more than to his policies, will impact the probability of success along the lines described. Here at home we see this intensity of opposition growing and the coming mid-terms’ results will resonate widely. My personal hope is we leave the control of the Strait to others, allowing us to focus our attention soon on achieving the goals you all outlined.
