Bill’s comment about the disparity in rhetorical ability between Republicans and Democrats struck a chord. Here in Kansas, our Junior Senator (oxymoron?) Roger Marshall is challenged by a very popular and successful Methodist minister. Roger could lose. In a debate at the State Fair, Marshall insisted that the Rev. Hamilton believes in Woke ideology. Hamilton retorted: “If Jesus were here today, I’m pretty sure you’d call him woke.” I’d call that underhanded.
I had colleagues here (in Atlanta at the time) that dropped everything and went to NYC to help as health care professionals. Some did it again when CoVid hit NYC. The Left would say it was to protect Wall Street, I guess.
As for NYC, New Yorkers and Moron Zamboni as their mayor …

I know that there were circumstances as to how You Don’t Mess With the Zorhan got elected, but it kills me that today’s New Yorkers; grandfathers fought Communists, their dads and uncles fought Jihadis, and today’s New Yorkers elect a Jihammunist as their Mayor
