I’ve been talking about AI image and video creation for well over a year now, but this is my first serious attempt at using the tools that are now available. I am very, very, very happy with the result. (By the way, the embedded video is a cut-down of what I originally posted. It knocks out 30 seconds of titles at the beginning and I desperately wish I had had the sense to realize I could come in where I come in here.)
In order to get the seven faces I used for this video I had to generate well over a hundred. Animating them, in this case, was pretty straightforward. Those images created so many striking faces that I was hard-pressed to find the ones I really wanted; generally, I just kept iterating four at a time until I found one that really struck me. I thought I might include just a few of those faces that almost made the final cut… largely because you don’t often see faces like this anymore.
Well done, Bill and crew.
Freedom does not come free.
AWESOME!!!!!
I never served in combat. I knew those that did, including immediate family. These men haven’t been beaten down to the 1000 mile stare, but you know they have seen hell.
Just being a female in uniform was tough enough, even for only 20 years. I knew women who didn’t come back from combat, and they would have wanted to be included with these men.
The Copeland piece is perfect for this. “Make your life worthy of theirs.”
Icy eyed, steel jawed models and play actors. I’d rather remember the skinny, fat, stuttering, inept at times, REAL warriors I served with. None of them were pretty, they WERE professional soldiers. Not an actor, model or wannabe among them. THEY were the real deal. May they rest in peace, and God bless those who are still with us.
Tremendously written and presented.
No better words have ever been spoken.
Thank you.
Excellent work! Thanks for the tribute.
Steely Eyed Misile men – all of them – bless thier hearts.
Nicely done. Very realistic.
A bit connected to this. Those who don’t go to the blog, do so. One by Road Rider: Memorial Day,my dad and Grok, where he recounts his dad’s experiences in WW2. I also shared my Dad’s few stories about him in WW2.
If anybody has stories to tell about combat, if you can and are willing, please share some. If they are too personal, no problem.
