I love the “Vichy France” comparison, however misguided. For years I dropped the term RINO in favor of “Vichy Republicans”

I’m afraid the mainstream press and their hold on news is gone. Poof. They lost their credibility and Pandora’s box is officially open.

They still have a lot of power, but their hold is slowly but surely disappearing. Once the Boomers have left us the only people watching network news and reading newspapers as their main source will be Gen X. And as we see in forums like this, we’re the first cohort walking away from Dinosaur Media.

I subscribed to the Free Press from the get-go, after reading Bari (pronounced like “berry”) Weiss’s resignation letter to the New York Times. I’m also a huge Klavan fan. Loved his book The Kingdom of Cain, about how art can redeem evil, as well as The Great Good Thing, about his conversion to Christianity, and I gave one of his young adult novels to my grandson (If We Survive).

I’ve been subscribed to The Free Press for quite a while. She’s basically a non-woke Democrat. Which is a huge improvement over what CBS has been.

I read her once in a while too – surprised how thoughtful she can be at times. Still a Lefty, but the rare breed of sane Lefty

She is going to have to swing a big axe to get rid of a lot of people who think her rules are BS.

And in this job market she will have no trouble finding replacements

Reminder that CBS is a broadcast channel. Get out the rabbit ears.

Dinosaur media on its last legs. It’s kind of funny how the contempt they have for new media feels like a Tyrannosaurus p*ssing at the incoming asteroid
