In which we hear Bill Whittle implore President Trump not for an end to winning, but rather a mere 48 hour MORATORIUM ON WINNING so that conservative pundits across the nation can have a chance to catch up.

I don’t need a 48 hour moratorium. What I want is for Mr. Trump to take his early findings to the public; to inform the public exactly what the Democrats are trying to preserve.

The facts, in he light of day will only help the cause.

The title image reminds me of Lee Iacocca.

Watching The Donald actually tearing the levers of power out of the left’s hands reminds me of an essay by British Libertarian Prof, Sean Gabb. Over 20 years ago he identified that the right often held office, but not power. He wrote a blueprint for how a hypothetical British right-wing government could actually achieve and keep power, if it could win a good majority. He outlined the departments to be eviscerated or just shut down completely and so on. The big message though was the need for speed. Hit them, and while they’re reeling, hit them again. I never thought… Read more »

We all do or say stupid stuff in our youth. But we learn.
It’s time for folks like Skummer and Shiftless, et al, to give it up. They have not learned

LOL, don’t get cocky, Bill. The swamp denizen is not a beast readily slain by a single swift rapier thrust to the heart. Alas, it must be bludgeoned to death with great toil and exertion. Trump is firing the shots that will eventually bring this foul creature down and it’s a good start. Once begun the process proceeds at the speed of government. There will be many obstacles to overcome along the path to “getting sick of winning”. We have just set foot on that road, the end is nowhere yet in sight. Hope grows and that’s worth celebrating for… Read more »

I think I posted elsewhere but this is where Speaker Johnson should get involved. Get away from the packaged omnibus spending bills and bring a bill to the House floor for a new funding level of USAID, reducing the number of employees to whatever PDT asks for and a capital funding cap along with guidelines as to how that funding can be spent.

No domestic funding
Nothing to terrorists groups
Nothing for DEI

And asking for an accounting each year.

Yes, and as I’m sure you know the legislature needs to get involved in ALL of this to whatever degree is necessary to codify these measures into law more durable than Executive Order. The EO’s were never meant to be anything but a stopgap measure. They are a temporary agility built into a purposely cumbersome system. That was the point in building a physically substantial border wall rather than just step up patrolling and enforcement to the max. A subsequent administration might slack off on patrolling and enforcement but they’d have to tear down a physical wall if there’s one… Read more »

I have heard PDT say several times about the need to codify these items. haven’t heard much from Johnson. could be lots going on duck like, but nothing leaking,

Well I suppose the Steamroller is more elegant that the M-19… But you don’t want to be standing in front of one of those either.

This tactic is also keeping The Radical Left from going full Alinsky on any of Trump’s actions. It looks like they’ve had to settle on slandering Musk.
