If all retailers lowered their profit margins by 50% for one year the drop in in tax revenue would cause most Congressional heads to explode. Biden still wouldn’t understand the connection.
I can never laugh ANY politician out the room as Scott suggests, because I never find myself willing to occupy the same spaces as those lying pieces of shhh…tuff. I realize that by being in the same room, I’ll be required to scrape that crap from the soles of my boots, and the smell is horrible.

I frequently have to explain to people that, if there is an alternative source for a product, than it isn’t “gouging”. The seller has simply priced the product above the current market rate.
