We need a HERO: Pete Hegseth vs. The Deep State

The problem isn’t inside the Pentagon. The problem IS the Pentagon. Responsible for spending $825,000,000,000 this year alone, the political and economic pressures to simply continue with the status quo are so monumental that standing up to them is nothing less than HEROIC.

Turns out we have just the man for the job.

I have to admit, ever since I saw the title to this segment I can’t get the Bonnie Tyler song “Holding Out For A Hero” out of my head! 🙂

Having seen a few montages of scenes from action movies, particular the Avengers series, put to variations of that song, I thought of that too. Someone should do a version with the Trump appointees going on the Avengers/Justice league theme that cropped up when RFK jr, Tulsi and Musk joined up.

State and War (sorry, Defense) could work together in the same was that certain presidents and SecDefs did. The line “don’t make me loose the dogs!” can work from a pacifist sounding president or a mild mannered diplomat. The “now, this is what we want, this is what we are willing to settle for, and this is what we need… but the president is getting impatient. You know he’s got the midterms coming up and needs some red meat to throw to certain House members who have been supporting him but are going to be in some tough races. He… Read more »

May be your best Hot Mic yet, Bill.
Have you considered a part-time gig @ D.O.G.E.?

Not surprised that Mike was late (as usual). From the image, he has enough product in his (perfect) hair to put a dent in Iron Man!!

(LOL) “OK let’s roll it” … Metaphorically speaking, Pete Hegseth should become the ravenous Rottweiler, stalking the true @ssholes (like 4-star Milley, Admiral Rachel Levine & woke company) that are ALL wearing milk bone underwear. Nom, nom, nom … unleash the dogs!! I’ll miss his views on Fox & Gutfeld.

Dude looks like central casting’s first choice. I guess he shouldn’t be held back for his looks, though. I like “War Department” leaders that look like a rabid bulldog about to tear through a leash.

a hero is only as good as the person backing him with the authority to do what is necessary.

I agree with almost everything you said. However, I don’t think you need to get rid of every flag officer. Trump and Hegseth need to interview those in the 1&2&3 star ranks to see who is actually a warfighter. I personally know of several that would qualify. I agree that I would fire every 4-star flag officer in every service simply because they did not resign over the DEI crap, let alone what happened in Afghanistan. And I would find out which ones in the 1&2&3-star ranks supported the DEI and fire them also. But I do not think that… Read more »

There is no doubt that we need to ‘beef’ up the military and stop ‘clowning’ it down…

Trump needs to let the republican senators (intentionally did not use caps!) that Pete Hegeth is the man the USA needs and he wants as Sec. Def!! He needs to make sure that they understand this is one he will fight for using any thing he can get his hands on. If you don’t get the military back in line then everything else is worthless.
