Steve Green brings us shocking news of the US Military’s new, woke training materials… and suffice it to say they don’t paint a picture of a country worth dying for. Is this a move toward a 3rd World military, whose only real purpose is to protect the junta that pays for it?

I have a nephew who has been trying to join the Navy for at least six months. He made a perfect score on the ASVAB (they made him take it twice to make sure it wasn’t a fluke). Supposedly they want him, and supposedly he wants to go. Yet it drags on and on. The only reasons anyone has spoken aloud for why there is such a delay is that he needs to “lose a little weight” (which is true, but the amount of weight he needs to lose would be gone by the end of boot camp) and that… Read more »
And the decay continues:
Today, West Point Naval Academy announced that it is dropping the words “Duty, Honor, Country” from it’s mission statement.
They no longer recognize a Duty to Honor their Country. They have become the enemy of American values..
I don’t know where you got that information but West Point is Army not Navy. The U.S. Naval Academy is at Annapolis, Maryland not West Point, New York State. It’s important to note that the Academy’s motto, on the school flag and displayed prominently elsewhere on campus, the official seal, coat of arms, official stationary and lots more is: “Duty – Honor – Country” and that’s not going away any time in the foreseeable future. I would argue that a lot more people see that motto a lot more often then they read the mission statement. So the motto is… Read more »
Mea culpa. I know Annapolis is the Naval Academy. Hell, I’m former Navy!
I can only blame a brain fart. Temporary stack overload. Sunspots! Floods! Godzilla!! It’s not myyyy faullllt!!!
<removes sunglasses, waggles eyebrows>
But I got the info on the mission statement from several reliable sources.
Which just reinforces the Bongino rule: I’d rather be right than first.
I rushed on first reporting and got pwned.
Ah, well. At least I have my stunning good looks to fall back on!
Lol, we can all have brain pharts from time to time. Nice eyebrows too.
As for your stunning good looks, I’ll take your word for that and gladly admit you must exceed me in that department. While it’s true that I can be stunning at times, that has nothing to do with my nonexistent good looks. In my younger days I might or might not have sent young children scurrying for their mother’s skirts. These days not even that good.
Be well, Phil.
This was an excellent post on Military DEI. Thanks to Steve, Bill and Scott. The current regime is spoiling everything they put their dirty hands on. Today I read about parents up in arms over a secret LGBT*# club at school for 3rd and 4th graders started by a teacher there..No parent notification, or parent permission slips were required. The administration KNEW about it. Marxism ALWAYS makes a dastardly mess.
The degradation is by design – for once our military is preparing for the next war

Much Thanks for the link. On American Greatness 1/17/2024, Josiah Lippincott has “A Message to Young Men on the Right” If you are a young man joining the military so you can gain skills for when the SHTF, you can acquire those traits just as well outside the military as within it. Right now 5.56mm rifle ammo is 50 cents a round on BulkAmmo.com. For $500 you can shoot as much in a year as an ordinary Marine rifleman, and you don’t need to put yourself under military discipline IN A LIBERAL DEI MILITARY TO DO IT. (my caps on… Read more »
I’m not going to read Josiah Lippincott’s silly opinion because I already know from personal experience if he said what you credit him for he’s full of crap. I joined the Marine Corps at 17. I was an avid hunter since childhood and had already fired thousands, maybe tens of thousands, of rounds of small arms ammunition before I enlisted. I had already taken several big game animals such as deer and bear. I loved hunting, was a very good hunter and by civilian standards an excellent marksman. If that was all there was to being an effective war fighter… Read more »
I find it interesting that Scott has trouble accepting things from Libs of Tik Tok (who sources most of her material) has no problem quoting things from NPR, the NY Times, MSNBC, CNN, the LA Times, etc.
And things started going south in the military a long time ago, which is why I decided to retire early in 1994 during the Clinton years.
I can’t speak for Scott Ott but I have reservations about Libs of Tik Tok myself. It’s not that she doesn’t provide sources, I’m sure everything she posts is true and accurate. It’s that those are extreme examples, they’re not so common and pervasive as many like to convince themselves they are. Therein lies the problem. Libs of Tik Tok is right to expose that sort of thing. It’s helpful that she does so. It’s what people do with that information that is the problem. I heartily agree that a teacher exposed for attempting to trans kids should be punished… Read more »
There’s a good article by Sundance on Conservative Tree House re: what banning Libs of Tik Tok is really all about. It’s just another way to capture and control more of our freedom of speech on the internet. Nothing the Biden regime does is meant to help the survival of our Constitutional Republic and Our Bill of Rights.
Thank you for your service. ♥
after reading most of the posts so far, I must say as regarding Morgan Freeman’s interview with Mike Wallace from more than 10 years ago, I really don’t believe the Morgan Freeman of today is the same as the one in this interview. In his more recent statements, he seems to me to be much more “woke” than he was when Obama was in his first term which is when Mike Wallace was interviewing Freeman if my memory serves me well.
The problem cannot be solved as easily as some suggest. Having only served eight years in the USAF enlisted. I can tell you the officer coup has the real power. Getting good young men to serve might be easy done as was stated, but having those same young men put in places that do not allow them to perform is sinful. A basic set of Rules of Engagement like the Bill of Rights, need to be codified into the UCMJ. These rules are set down to protect our combatants. I cannot in good conscience suggest to a young man to… Read more »
Bill’s right, it’s going to get better. It’s vital to consider that this sort of crap is not representative of our actual, serving military forces. These things are weird outliers working their way into the peripherals of military duty. They are not exemplary of our modern military services, they are examples of the Left attempting to corrupt our modern military services. It’s not that the cartoon recruiting video of the girl raised by deviants is going to make such people enlist. It’s that there are elements of corruption that WANT that kind of recruit so they can advance their corruptions.… Read more »
I’m sorry. I can’t understand hearing things like this. How was it allowed to get this way? It seems like a prank.
My sons are brave patriots, so there’s that. And both chose not to serve.
Lots of soldiers on both sides of the family, though. None of ’em believe this merd.
Oui, c’est merde, certainement.
Must be an Army thing. I’ve heard about things like this for the past few years, but have yet to ever see any of it make its way to the Navy.
Also, the reason the Navy isn’t making goal isn’t because of wokeness… it’s because quality of life at sea is awful! And the “Get Real, Get Better” brass isn’t doing much to change that.
