The Wall Street Journal seems to be shocked and horrified that Donald Trump’s supporters aren’t aware of the fact that Trump is in the process of DISMANTLING THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT! And even worse, he apparently has appointed a non-elected billionaire to lead the charge!

Imagine how disappointed Republicans will be when they finally realize that their multi-generational wildest dream is finally coming true!

Bill hit on it, like John Winger once said

So we’re all dogfaces. We’re all very, very different, but there is one thing that we all have in common: we were all stupid enough to enlist in the Army vote democrat. We’re mutants. There’s something wrong with us, something very, very wrong with us. Something seriously wrong with us!

You would think that uncovering waste and grift would be a bi-partisan success. That it is not speaks volumes.

A real press would be asking those who complain about what Musk and his young programmers are doing “do you think we should be spending USAID money on (fill in the blank)?” And “Aren’t you glad to see waste uncovered?”

The next question should be “What are you afraid they will find?”

If Musk had begun with the Department of Defense, I bet the Dems would be all for it.

If Donald Trump wins an election over Hillary Clinton it has to have been rigged by the Russians. There’s no way Trump could beat Hillary otherwise. If Donald Trump wins an election over Kamala Harris it has to be because the American voter just didn’t understand what they voted for. I love this idiotic delusional behavior perpetrated by our social and political foes. As long as they keep this up they’ll keep losing. If they ever start looking at what they’re doing wrong and stop going by how wonderful they think they are — We could see some serious trouble… Read more »

It constantly amazes me how candidates as horrific as Hillary and Kamala get half or nearly half the votes. How bad do you have to be? It’s willful ignorance compounded by blind attachment. The older “Joan of Arcs” I know quote 1960s Bob Dylan and go all mumbly-mouthed thinking of JFK and RFK, not realizing they would probably be Republicans today.

One of the first things JFK pushed were income tax cuts. nuff said.

Doesn’t the government increase allocations yearly by 7-10%? You know, “to keep up with inflation”, they say. And if you stop that increase, Dems say you’re “cutting” money from that department. I know that a couple decades ago, they figured out that if you just stopped this practice we could balance the budget in a few years. Probably too large a deficit to do that as quickly now. I don’t hear about this much. All I really hear about is how departments will go out of their way to spend every dollar they’re given in fear they may not get… Read more »

This is the downside of the Continuing Resolution grift. There is a baked in increase to all the CR-ap.

While those of us in the real world essentially start our budgeting process at $0.00 and need to justify everything we request, the gov’t starts at last year + some % across the board.

Bill’s point that the left seems to view us as defective thinkers who just do not see their virtue or possibly do not see Trump’s vices is correct, but I think it is simpler than that. The position of the modern left is that any restrictions placed on “me” are bad. And that’s a reasonable rule if your basis consists of “nothing is true, nothing is real except the application of power”. Ironically, the people who care on either end of the political spectrum got there via two different mechanisms. The right got there via thinking, the left via feeling.… Read more »
