From the recent introduction of police bodycam videos, one constant, infuriating theme emerges: serious charges, such drunk driving, disorderly behavior, criminal trespassing and even assault on police officers, are simply being DROPPED by prosecutors. We don’t seem to be having any trouble catching criminals; the challenge seems to be making an arrest more than a minor inconvenience when we do.

Milwaukee will soon lose its Soros backed soft on crime district attorney John Chisolm. He isn’t running for re-election. I hope his deputy that is rumored to run is either not in his same mold or is beaten when the people of the city wake up. Contrary to Scott’s giving the benefit of the doubt to judges, we have a number of soft on crime judges in the city as well, sentencing people convicted of assault, theft, carjacking, etc to 2-5 years, then putting a stay on that punishment and giving the thug probation instead. Bill, you’re absolutely right that “we’re going to see a lot more of this before we see a lot less”. Just check-out the many videos by school teachers complaining about 10-13 year-olds. in middle school (grades 6th thru 9th). These kids are impossible to teach because they have no respect for their teachers, their school administrators, their classmates, or anything else. They refuse to learn or do their schoolwork. They cannot be disciplined by their teachers or administrators because their parent(s) don’t teach or discipline them. About 15 years ago I was asked to go to an arraignment hearing with two young neighbors. They had gotten into an argument that escalated, the young lady knocked the young man’s phone out of his hand as he was trying to call police to settle the situation down. The young lady was, as she was wont to do, getting completely out of control. The young man did not shove her down, but pushed her down to a seated position on the ground trying to restrain her. This makes me wonder if you know any LEOs. I know several dozen and can assure you that they are not as you perceive. The last several I have met are due to Mrs Ron having a stalker. These interactions have all been professional and empathetic. And kept me from doing something that would have been potentially regrettable.
Hating the police is evidence of criminality. A criminal mind hates the police because the police are the barrier denying criminal activity and holding criminals accountable for their crimes.
