Once-impenetrable diplomatic barriers melt away under his stare. In just two weeks Donald Trump has done more for America’s position in the world than most presidents could do in two terms. The press corps are clutching their pearls at his demands, but that’s only because they do not understand The Art of the Deal: if you want a million dollars, ask for five and see what happens. Trump, you magnificent bastard! We’ve read your book!

I have to say that one of the things that I get joy out of is how blatantly obvious it is that Bill is so thoroughly enjoying every minute of this since 1/20. The look of wonder on his face as he talks about what Trump is doing feels like looking in a mirror. What a time to be alive!
I got it. I was trying to think of what it feels like and the right-leaning commentators have this air about them now in their commentary that is sort of like the way a nine year old boy explains the plot of the latest Superman movie to his mother right after he gets home from the movie theater and he is wired on Milk Duds, Dr. Pepper and superhero worship – but it isn’t Superman, it’s Trump and he is not leaping tall buildings in a single bound, instead he is hounding the deep state.
Panama remembers 1989 when America invaded and TOOK Noriaga prisonor. We have a history of military intervention in Panama, they know what determined American Republican leaders are capable of.
Ever since the 2020 election I believe President Trump has been planning these moves and scripting the opportunities he is now implementing. Hooray for us!
Years ago we joked, I think on this comment section, about turning Jerusalem into a theme park; A-rab Land, Jew Land, Jesus Land. Maybe, the way things are going, we were prescient. This latest “negotiation” about what to do with the rubble of what used to be Gaza may be the tipping point heading towards our ultimate “goal”.
MAGAza … It’s gonna be huge … “Remember, there’s no such thing as an unrealistic goal—just unrealistic time frames.” – DJT
Aw shucks. I like the idea of actually buying Greenland. I want it real bad.
Here’s a question. What is the difference between extortion and negotiation? The more I try to answer this question, the more I have trouble answering it. I’m no lawyer, but there seems to be a fine line here. Semantics.
Semantics? Maybe not as ‘negotiation’ is a dialogue to resolve points of difference, gain advantage, +/or craft outcome that satisfies mutual interests. ‘Extortion’ is the illegal use of one’s official position/powers to obtain property, funds, or patronage that satisfy individual interests. I’m no lawyer, but feel his approach (so far) is legal, and his interests are in the best interests of “We The People” (compare DEMs pocket padding).
It might get harder to define when you’re dealing with nations but in regards to Canada and Mexico, we’re trying to get them to do something that would benefit them and is the right thing to do. If they are not going to do things that also help us, it is hard for us to consider them our friends. I see this border patrol differently than North Korea guarding their border to keep people in (and possibly spies out, at least so they claim). Mexico patrolling is a policy that will tell people that sneaking north is hard and less… Read more »
We’re like the rich uncle being taken advantage of by favorite nephews. We’re still going to be related after all is done, but the uncle is running out of money, sick of being taken advantage of, and the nephews can no longer sponge off of him.
