Would You Move to Galtigan’s Island?

Just as a thought experiment, mind you, Bill asks the question: “If you could buy actual sovereignty — on an island, let’s say — and produce a government that conformed to the US Constitution far more than the current one does… would you move there?”

A one man radiator shop, a one man upholstery shop, a one man author….me…you only offer it to self supporting people because they are the core foundation of the Idea called “America”…how many people will fight to be left alone?
FedNow is coming….all owners of all businesses MUST be on a FEDERAL List by Jan. 1.
There will be a time soon, when ‘there used to be an America’ HERE unless we fight to get it back.

I was a founding member of the sea steading organization. I contributed to the Oceania Constitution project way back in the 1990’s. We wrote a libertarian constitution. At every cause someone had a hissy fit and dropped out. I know what Steve means about people going to places and ideas that shock him. Been there, done that. Not much shocks me now. Any libertarian new nation project gets swarmed by druggies and pedophiles and others with illegal fetishes’. The well meaning core persists. https://oceania.org/ I may be one of the few people with copies of the original documents. I suspect… Read more »

2nd Amendment the IRS. No such thing as a good cop because they lie for each other He owes nothing to the public so long as he does not trespass upon their rights.” – Supreme Court, Hale vs. Henkle 201 U.S. 43 at 74 “Our system of government, based upon the individuality and intelligence of the Citizen, the state does not claim to control him, except as his conduct to others, leaving him the sole judge as to all that only affects himself.” “There, every man is independent of all laws, except those prescribed by nature. he is not bound… Read more »

I already debunked your out of context spin of the Cruden v. Neale case in the article about the proposed modifications to the Supreme Court. If anyone wants to know why it does not say what you claim it does, have a look at that. As for the rest of this drek, let’s just apply a little common law common sense to it … The individual my stand upon his Constitutional rights as a Citizen. -True with the qualifications as noted. He is entitled to carry on his LAWFUL private business in his own way. His power to contract is… Read more »

1800 mid century:
“Despotism often presents itself as the repairer of all the ills suffered, the support of just rights, defender of the oppressed, and founder of order.”
— Alexis de Tocqueville

“When the past no longer illuminates the future, the spirit walks in darkness.”

The Free State Project tried for a smaller government state in NH.

The clusters of Leftists and Statists in the larger cities are a stumbling block.

I had an issue with Galt’s Gulch after reading the book. If the founders hadn’t been quite so successful and wealthy, they wouldn’t have been able to create the Gulch.

Okay, I have to tease Bill.

Bill, you said that Galtigan’s Island should be somewhere cold–but didn’t your family migrate from NW England to Bermuda? How cold does it get in Bermuda–maybe down to 75?

I have been following something for some years now. Gentlemen, allow me to introduce you to Liberland. It’s real and it seems to embody all you’ve been discussing in this video. https://liberland.org/

The problem with going somewhere really cold and remote is that it’s going to make people too dependent on public infrastructure and supplies from outside. If you live somewhere where everyone lives in a huge dome you are going to need a government with the power to force you to maintain the dome. We’d do better to get rid of money the government can print, Without printed money California dies. If California dies, our enemies have a much harder time selling California.

Those were off the top of my head. Let’s add to it. We could probably come up with quite the list.
Surgery on teens that want to “transition” – mandatory. Walz is big on this. Take your kids away if you don’t support.
