The Wall Street Journal investigation shows some 29 million uninsured patients pay much higher prices than insured folks for the same procedure at American hospitals. Despite the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, and the Trump administration’s price transparency mandate, the people least able to afford it pay the most.
