For a brief moment there was some concern — not that Kamala Harris would do the smart thing, because… come on… — but some concern that SOMEONE would convince her to do the smart thing. Well those concerns vanished in a puff of pink smoke when she announced her running mate: Timmeh! Walz, perhaps the only person farther to the lunatic left than the person at the top of the ticket. What a winning combo!

We don’t really think Harris has a say do we? Just like when Biden suddenly agreed (I mean announced) to step down. First I thought the message is that “we can put in whoever we want, no matter how unpopular, we can make them win because we control the voting machines and laws”. Then I saw this, which of course is just a reminder:

In a country where Kamala gets a bump in the polls by You-tube Gen-Zers doing coordinated dance moves to her inane “coconut” outtake set to background rhythms, my faith that people have enough common sense to vote sensibly is gone. I overheard a self-professed former Trump voter say he was going to vote Dem because his CDs were paying higher when inflation was rampant. I was stunned into silence. I don’t think he would recognize being mocked if I hadn’t been dumbstruck.
Relax Doc; banality, frivolity, inanity, lack of common sense and outright stupidity are the human norms. They’re no worse, nor better, now than they’ve ever been.
Civilization has always hung by a thread, that’s what makes life interesting. 🙂
What I find appallingly yet deliciously ironic is that the people who claim they want to bring us to utopian nirvana could get a lot closer to their goals if they’d stop trying to “help”.
Now I feel better.
LOL, glad I could help you out with that.
Steve, dear Steve, the suffix -stan applies to countries and territories rather towns and cities. It should be be Dearbornabad, which is a city in Minnesotastan. If anyone thinks the whole state isn’t Islamic enough to warrant the name, trust me, just give a decade or two.
This is true with the exception that Dearbornabad is a city in Michiganistan.
D’ooh. Of course. *smacks head* But gosh, doesn’t Michiganistan work in a horrible way?
Lol, yes it certainly does work in a most horrible way.
My father grew up in Dearborn when it was Polish. I couldn’t figure out a way to make Dearborn sound Polish.
Dearbornski? Dearbornawicz? Dearborndzki?
well done
As horrendous as the Dem Ticket is, I think the actual problem we face is that of exactly how are we ever going to Beat the Cheat that beat us in 2020?
“If they don’t go down in flames, I’m afraid we all will”. Thank you Steve! This is a fine summary of Walz, closed with the perfect summation line!
I’m afraid they’ll replace him with Shapiro or Newsom. They should have held back this information until it became too late to replace him, I’m thinking the Democrats/press/Obama are doing this to get a better VP choice.
The democrats have come completely out of the communist closet, now it is up to the sane people of the nation to decide how hard they want to fight it.
There’s an old statement that I think applies to things going on in the lefty/liberal/commie world today that reads like this: “Never interrupt your opposition when you see them making as many bad decisions and mistakes in the largest numbers they’re capable of.” Not only is the Dem campaign headed in the worse possible way they could, it seems like they’re looking for ways to supercharge their way into the most catastrophic fiery loss the Democrats have ever engaged in. It’s almost as if they’re looking for ways to get more people to vote for Trump than for their almost… Read more »
Beside that Bill’s mic has weird echo. I feel backlash is building. I’d bet on: (1) Dems holding sham convention to install Hillary & Barack and; (2) Dem-factions spilling sensitive insider info (leading up to DNC Convention) to discredit others. When do they get Charlie Sheen to run campaign?
Interesting thing. Barack almost certainly cannot be VP. Under no Constitutional circumstances can be ever be president again (only 2 full term plus 2 year sucession).
Since he could take over for more than two years, it cannot be done.
Unless of course the plan were to be that Kammy or Hildebeast had an “accident” when they had 23 months remaining in their term … I get what you’re saying, I don’t think it would be legal to run Barry Big Ears as VP under any circumstances because unless the POTUS had less than 24 months to serve he cannot possibly be President again. This would effectively leave the country without a successor VP in the event the POTUS was incapacitated for any reason. In which case the Speaker of the House would have to serve. I don’t think they… Read more »
As I said to Harry below, I’m not willing to put anything past the Democrats but … Coming up with an entirely different ticket during the Convention would be counterproductive for them. They’d have to explain to the American public how Kacklin’ Kammy went from bad, to good, to bad again, all the favorable fawning lying press efforts on her behalf would be wasted and the time would be very short to campaign and sell the new ticket. That said, she’s GOT TO debate Donald Trump and I don’t see her doing any better at that than Potato Joe did.… Read more »
I was born and raised in Minnesota. I still, after all these decades I’ve been away, think of Minnesota as “home”. Sadly, Minnesota has become a laughing stock and an embarrassment. It’s a shame because there are some great people in Minnesota and it is an agricultural and natural resources powerhouse. It’s a shame and it’s shameful. Minnesota suffers from the same problem that many states do. Like Virginia has Richmond and the DC suburbs, Pennsylvania has Pittsburg, Wisconsin has Milwaukee and the Chicago suburbs, etc., Minnesota has the Twin Cities and Duluth. If you look at a map the… Read more »
One way to fix the problem (though very unlikely to happen) is reverting Senate elections back to the state houses and replicate that by having elect their state Senates. That would balance the highly populous counties with the less so. I think if red legislatures pushed it from the state level there could be a movement for an amendment at least to change the federal Senate back. I would quibble that Wisconsin does not really have any Chicago suburbs. Milwaukee and Madison are enough blue to skew our voting numbers. Crime is unfortunately bleeding some blue out of Milwaukee into… Read more »
