Democrats were going to ride a blue wave to a Senate majority and a bigger House majority. Instead, Republicans held the Senate, and beat a number of Democrat House incumbents. Angry Democrats blame everyone from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to the DNC to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) for misallocation of funds, and such poor messaging strategy that the tongue-tied Republicans effectively tagged them as socialists who want to defund the police.
