Adam Jentleson, the former deputy chief of staff to former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, outlines the Democrats plan to slow jam the confirmation of President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee — not to prevent another conservative on the bench, but to delegitimize the process and the eventual Associate Justice.
Jentleson, writing in The New York Times, proposes that Democrats demand quorum calls, refuse assent to unanimous consent items, boycott confirmation hearings, and employ other stalling tactics to sap the credibility of the Senate and the court.
