Sad, but sadly true story from post Church discussion. I was talking with a few others about Biden’s poor showing at his statement turned into a press conference from Thursday. Someone commented along the lines of elder abuse and those that are supposed to care for him should be getting him to step aside. I read a comment from a lady whose mother had Alzheimer dementia and lost the ability to swallow. When was the last time we saw Joe Biden in a situation where he had to feed himself?

In Biden’s latest ad he sat with a father and two children while Biden pretended to eat a hamburger. I did not SEE him eat the burger. There was a bite out of that burger that no human teeth had made. It was cookie cutter perfect. imo he’s on so many medicines that he’s either lost his appetite or has difficulty swallowing.Watch the ad with the two school boys and see for yourself. Just thought it was relevant.

Also, unless I missed it, in his outrage over being asked about Beau he never said ‘ It was May 30, 2015, I’ll never forget it’ or anything like it.
Am I correct in expecting that the reason the Hur report was allowed to come out the way it did is that (besides Hur being a Trump appointee) that as a Special Counsel he is protected from control by the leadership of the DOJ (when addressing the classified documents mandate in this case). If the DOJ AG, etc. had tried to curtail the details in this report, he could yell foul and bring the same or worse political wrath down upon this administration?
I’d say that as far as it goes, that’s a fair assessment. There’s also the fact that if Hur was not going to recommend the referral of charges he had to give some reason for that if only in self-defense. This sort of put him between a rock and a hard place So the truth made a dandy defense because it got the truth out there where it was visible AND it incited a reaction from the White House that confirmed the validity of the truth. Another Rock and a Hard Space is where our President found himself, according to the special council, where Biden is either a cunning (but messy) document hoarder , or, he’d present himself to a jury as a kindly old man with terrible memory issues. Both are not a great look for our ‘President’.
I’m sorry but in this serious discussion Steve’s grandma story made me laugh out loud.
I’m going through dealing with my mom who has dementia working to get her into a nursing home, so I see how this disease works and how it can stress a family. Biden is in the advanced stage of dementia – he’s not on his way to the advanced stage, he’s been there before he was elected. The Covid restrictions allowed the democrats to hide it until after the election.
There’s no hiding it now.
Bill asks the question we all do, “Who is the President” or actually running the office of the Presidency? A recent photo of Biden with a gathering of his closest advisors shows that Susan Rice, Obama’s National Security Advisor, is still at the table. She is now the director of his Domestic Policy Council, a role that did not require Senate confirmation. Perhaps it’s merely Obama’s third term or do we have our first female President? Indeed, why bother to rig an election if you lose control of the office?
Quite possibly nailed it. I’ve seen her face pop up all over the news. Why now?

I really think Obama and Valerie Jarrett (and other friends of theirs, like Rice) have been the puppet masters behind the Joe and Jill show. That would explain the otherwise inexplicable bending over to appease Iran since Trump left office. Joe could tamp down the furor by dismissing the classified documents case against Trump, but he won’t do that, of course, and the sense of a two-tiered justice system (where charges for Republicans are the norm, but no charges for Democrats) will continue to grow right up until election day.
